Services

Farber Surveying is a small business that exercises their land use consulting experience as a member of a development team, master planning 300 acres for building new neighborhoods in the Cities of Central Point and Rogue River. The master planning includes resolving environmental, traffic, social, schools, parks, public utilities, and political issues involving government agencies at all levels of government. On smaller scale projects, Farber Surveying handles land use issues, from start to finish, for property line adjustments, partitions and subdivisions in all of the jurisdictions in Jackson County.

Farber Surveying jobs include rural to urban surveys consisting of marking timbered property lines to residential property surveys. Residential surveys range from one-parcel surveys to 300-lot plus subdivisions with all associated construction staking. Typical survey projects include, control, boundary, topographic and construction staking fieldwork. In the office the field data is processed from the raw data, to work maps to finished topographic, maps of surveys and land division plats. A smaller portion of the business is commercial and industrial construction staking. Farber Surveying has a control network spanning Jackson County, which allows us the ability to establish precise positions, both horizontal and vertical, virtually anywhere in the county. This network is also connected to the National Geodetic Survey network (HARN), therefore is expandable statewide. The majority of our workload is in Jackson County, which for the past several years has limited the need of going outside of the county.

Farber Surveying has one field crew equipped with Trimble Robotic Total Station, a Trimble Navigation GPS Total Station and data collection systems. The office is setup with state of the art networked personal computers with ArcView (GIS), Trimble TGO (GPS) and MicroSurvey (CAD COGO) software for surveying and additional software for business purposes. The philosophy of Farber Surveying is to have people rotate in and out of the field and office for greater productivity. Technology is used to increase productivity instead of simply adding people. Farber Surveying continues to explore new and innovative procedures and technique to satisfy our client’s needs.
